Can UK passport move to Switzerland freely for residence and work

Can UK passport move to Switzerland freely for residence and work?
I'm a third year uni student studying accounting and Finance, I hope to move to Switzerland after graduation and look for jobs there. So I got a few questions, Anyone could help me? 1. Can UK passport holder reside and work in Switzerland with out any application of VISA or Residence permit? 2. What kind of skill is the Swiss labour market looking for? or in shortage? I might stay in UK for Master or CFA or ACCA after graduate, this would effect my choice of subject. 3. Can foreign people acquire real estate property there fairly easily ( I mean any restriction due to the nationality of the buyer?) 4. Which city would be nice to live in? ( in terms of price level and opportunity and of course the general living standard of that area) 5. If working in a swiss bank is it english the prevalent language for paper works etc? or the local language? I will learn French and German but i wonder if i have to be a advanced speaker? 6. Is the only way of obtaining swiss passport is by birth or marriage, no other ways?

1. Can UK passport holder reside and work in Switzerland with out any application of VISA or Residence permit? NO I dont beleive so - since swtizerland is NOT a FULL member of the EU http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switzerland_and_the_European_Union 2. What kind of skill is the Swiss labour market looking for? or in shortage? I might stay in UK for Master or CFA or ACCA after graduate, this would effect my choice of subject. profesional and advanced skills - you will need to find out 3. Can foreign people acquire real estate property there fairly easily ( I mean any restriction due to the nationality of the buyer?) probably no miore rstrictions than anywhere else - but you have to pay taxes and this will NOT get you any automatic citizenship rights. Switzerland is VERY strict on foreigners immigrating to their country. 4. Which city would be nice to live in? ( in terms of price level and opportunity and of course the general living standard of that area) Thats going to have to be something you want to decide on - I personally would like tio live in Geneva - home of the EU and some UN offices - a truely international city 5. If working in a swiss bank is it english the prevalent language for paper works etc? or the local language? I will learn French and German but i wonder if i have to be a advanced speaker? Yes you would have to be a fluent speaker and its french in the west (geneva) and german in the east (basel and zurich) and italian in the south (sion) 6. Is the only way of obtaining swiss passport is by birth or marriage, no other ways? you can immigrate - if you are eligible - as a skilled worker - but the process takes well over 10 years!!! marriage will also take more than 10 years too!!!
