Lausanne, Basel or Zurich... I don't like Geneva

Zürich has a lot of traffic, and also a lot of people. I'd never want to live there. Bern is annoys me the accent which they have. and also too much traffic. So Geneva would be my choice. But, I live in Lenzburg in a small cute city and I really like living there.

Will a monitor bought in the UK work in Switzerland

Will a monitor bought in the UK work in Switzerland?
I'm going to be relocating to Switzerland and was going to buy some new hardware. Should I get it in the UK and just use an adaptor plug, or are there issues with voltage and what have you? Thanks for the feedback. Does that mean I could actually just screw on new plugs to my cables, or are European plugs not designed to do that in the same way as British ones?

It will work fine in Switzerland - you can get a cable with a continental plug and then you won't have to use an adaptor. The monitor should have a computer style power input (into which you would plug your power cable). In Switzerland you'd pick up a cable that would completely replace the one that came with your UK monitor and would have that same computer style end along with the proper Swiss-style plug.

Will move to Switzerland. Just bought a HDTV and a Denon amplifier. Should I take them with me? No problem with Pal vs Ntsc???

You have to buy a power converter, they run around 50 for a decent one and more than 100 for good ones

Will a Bose Home theatre system and a Samsung 40 inch LCD TV purchased in US, work in Switzerland

If yes, with what kind of adaptors will they work ? Shipping charges is not an issue. That would be taken care off by the company.

They will work, but you will need to make sure you plug it into a European outlet adapter. You can pick them up anywhere, (Wal Mart, Target, Airports, CVS, etc…). They usually cost anywhere from $10 - $30, depending on the model and number of connections it supports.

don't forget to purchase a step-up voltage converter. 110 in us, 230 in switz. ;)
