How does an American work as a PTA in Switzerland

How does an American work as a PTA in Switzerland?
I'm getting my 2 year degree now (in America) as a physical therapist assistant and I have Swiss family & citizenship. Are the standards there different and is there anything I should be doing now to be able to work there for a year or two? thanks for any help!

I'm explaining you the simple rules: In Switzerland, you need a diploma as a physical therapist in order to work in the corresponding profession. Assistants are not known, you therefore wouldn't be able to work in Switzerland. As for info about the profession, please visit this website: http://www.physioswiss.ch/ (German, French, Italian - one must be fluent in one of these at least in order to apply for a job).

I looked into this briefly when my husband was being considered to move to Zurich inc, headquarters. As mentioned above, I do not think that the PTA position exists in Switzerland, but honestly I do not recall specifics. I do remember that their association website was in German and I believe you do have to speak German to practice there...and if in Zurich, most likely swiss-german. So if you do speak German, I would go to their association website...they most likely have the information you need there.
